Thank you! Well I’m not going to lie, the pain is quite bad, but I don’t even remember how bad it was now, the morphine takes care of that. And it varies for everyone, some people can withstand more pain than others. Try not to worry about it too much, because it’s all for the best and it will be well worth it in the years to come, I promise. I don’t remember most of my time in the hospital because of the morphine, so it does help a lot. I hope everything goes well, keep us updated!

Anyway, sorry to use the blog in this way but please help?
1st picture = before my surgeries.
2nd picture= after my surgeries.
in the first picture it’s a 96 degree curve.
My name is Theresa and i was recently added as an admin to this blog, so i thought i’d introduce myself! Feel free to submit, share your stories and ask questions!
I personally have been diagnosed with severe chronic scoliosis, and recently had the surgery to correct my curvatures, so I’m willing to share my story with you as well!
you can see my personal scoliosis blog here:

this picture is at my first consultation with my surgeon, after i was diagnosed with an “S-Curve” (meaning i had not only one, but two spinal curvatures.) later i discovered the first curve (on top) was a 71 degree curvature, majorly deforming my body in itself, then the second curve was measured at 66 degrees. i found out by going to a massage therapist after receiving a certificate from my stepfather, the massuess spotted it instantly, and after discussing the possibility, i called mydoctor to set up an appointment. after her astonishing reaction to the fact that I could walk, she sent me to a surgeons office.
I was diagnosed in January 2011.
